Founded in 1928 following its inaugural meeting in London in 1926, ICISA was thefirst trade credit insurance association globally. The Association has evolved alongside the industry it represents, from its origins inprivate credit insurance to today’s global surety and credit insurance leadership. Our members represent the vast majority ofglobal credit insurance business, with expansion into new markets in the 1950s.

Today, ICISA members oversee almostUSD 3 trillion in insured trade receivables , ensuring economic stability and facilitatingglobal trade and development acrossfive continents. Our commitment totechnical excellence, industry innovation, and regulatory advocacy ensures we continue to drive progress in the credit insurance and surety industries.
